Everything Is Recorded

No current dates

Everything Is Recorded’s debut live show, featuring Sampha, Ibeyi, Warren Ellis, Obongjayar, Infinite, Mela Murder and more, will take place on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 February 2018 as part of a major site-specific music and art installation on two floors of the abandoned Savoy cinema in Dalston, east London. This project will occupy the space for a week prior to the start of its renovation and reincarnation as The Hackney Arts Centre, a major new performing arts venue for East London opening late 2018.

Everything Is Recorded is the new collaborative artist project from musician, record producer and XL Recordings head Richard Russell. With Russell at the helm, his west London studio ‘The Copper House’ became a creative second home for a revolving cast of vocalists and musicians who passed through to write, record and share ideas, mixing traditional recording sessions with extended, uninhibited live jams. Across Everything Is Recorded’s three EP and single releases to date, Russell has collaborated with a diverse host of global artists that include Sampha Ibeyi, Wiki, Kamasi Washington, Giggs, Obongjayar, Warren Ellis, Infinite, Mela Murder, Green Gartside and Baluji Shrivasta
